Lukes first Fathers Day was great. We went over to my in laws the Lancaster's and had dinner. The day before Luke was gone so me and Jace took a little trip to Hasting's our local entertainment store. I wanted to buy something for Luke but we said we shouldn't spend a lot of money. I found him the Garden State soundtrack. He loved the movie so why not get him the soundtrack. I could not wait until fathers day so I ended up giving it to him that night and he loved the present, then Jace gave him a big wet kiss. I took pictures of Jace with his papa from that day and here is one. Luke is such a great father and Jace adores him. I love him so much and am so grateful he is my husband.

Busy, Busy
Summer time has officially begun in our household. The day after my birthday I hopped on a plane with little Jacey and we flew to Colorado to visit Grandma and Grandpa Vinton. My camera was acting weird so my mom took all the pictures so those are soon to come. We had the funnest time there and Jace LOVED being with his other grandparents. When we got there my mom picked us up and instantly he remembered her. The next day we ran errands, went shopping and took Jace on a walk around the neighborhood. My mom is a little of a health nut so we went to Sunflower Market and she introduced me to the best yogurt ever. Seriously it is like eating dessert. Im glad I can't find it here in Logan because it is very fattening as well and I would eat too much of it. Anyways I love Littleton. I forgot how much I liked it there and how I loved all the different unique stores they have there that I miss out on here. On Wednesday I met up with a good high school friend Lindsay. She has two kids of her own and it was so nice to visit. Later that day my parents went to the temple and me and Jace went to Southwest Plaza to browse around. I discovered they had added a deli called Spicy Pickle which is an old time favorite. We could not pass that up! I also bought a new pair of wedges that are so cute. Thursday my dad's aunt and uncle had their 70th wedding anniversary! Can you believe it? That is 30 years short of a hundred years together, what an accomplishment. We met up with all my dad's siblings and the happy couple at Papa Deux's, a seafood restaurant. It was delicious and the event was really special. They were even on the local news! Since all my dad's family was in town the next day we all met up at Doug and Layne's house in the beautiful red rocks. I love their house, it is pretty scenic and the summer breeze blows right through their house. Saturday me and Jace helped(well talked) to my dad as he was pulling dandelions in the front yard then I met up with an

Double Whammy
Happy Birthday to me! The great thing about my birthday is that sometimes it falls on mothers day as well. Today was one of the best birthdays I have had because I got to celebrate mothers day as well. It has been such an amazing journey so far being a mom to baby Jace. He is such a good and fun baby. He learns new things everyday and is quite the independant stubborn little guy. All you have to do is look at his parents and it explains it all. Last night Luke took me to McGraths fish house down in Layton. It was delicious and Jace was so well behaved. When we first got there all these waitresses were staring at us and walking by the table. I felt like maybe I hadn't done up my shirt or something but later on a waitress tells us that she just had to walk by because we had the cutest baby. So you see I am not biased, my baby really is so handsome and adorable. Today we went to Luke's parents house, had dinner and ate strawberry shortcake and my rocky road trifle. Both were tasty but I think the strawberry shortcake won. My camera broke this last week so I dont' have the full two day celebration on film but my in-laws took some pics tonight of the cake ceremony so enjoy.
I also wanted to give a shot out to my momma. She is soooo amazing! She is one of my best friends and I adore her with all my heart. I couldn't be the woman I am today without her in my life. She did a great job teaching me all I know and showing me the ways of child rearing. She is funny, sophistocated, knowledgeable, creative, beautiful, loving, caring, tender, crazy fun, a great wife to my dad, humble, spiritual and would do anything for her children. I love you Mom and there is no one who could ever replace you. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Hey Im finally posting!
Well today is the day. I have had my blog set up for a while but this is my first post ever! A lot of exciting things are coming up in our lives. Luke will be done with school next week. Then he is off to Washington D.C to earn three credits for school. He is very excited because this was his old stomping ground. When he leaves I leave with Jace to go visit my parents in Colorado. Yahoo! Hopefully this summer we will get more time to go camping, go to the aquatic center and take Jace to explore Cache Valley and its surroundings. By the way Jace is getting sooo big. He no longer likes being on his back and will roll over instantly and start scooting. He hasn't got the arms down yet but he pushes his legs and shoves his face into the ground to scoot along. What a little rascal! He really is the most precious fun loving baby. He does not mind snuggling and is very friendly. Our favorite parts of the day are in the morning when he wakes and late at night. He always is so happy in the morning and loves to coo at me. At night he gets so excited when he sees Luke and reaches out for him. Its amazing the bond they form with their parents at such a young age. This weekend I have a good friends baby shower to go to. Im so excited for her. Ashley is having a girl and they are so excited, nervous, and ready to get her here. Anyways thanks for listening to me rant, I will post pictures soon!
